Engineering work will take place at varying locations on the Leeds to Carlisle and Leeds to Morecambe routes on most Sundays up to Easter.
Douglas Hodgins, chairman of the Settle Carlisle Railway Development Company and vice-chairman of the Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line, said: “We appreciate that maintenance is essential to keep the railways running smoothly and safely but we do understand the frustrations of passengers when there are changes to services while work is being undertaken.”
Passengers planning to travel on Sundays are advised to check as departure times may be different and part or all of the journey could be by coach.
