Fire crews are this morning battling a blaze at a block of flats off Manchester Road, Bradford.
One person had to be rescued from the fire, at Ashton House, Croscombe Walk.
The blaze, in the fourth floor of the high-rise block, set off a hard-wired alarm which alerted the emergency services at 7.21am.
Two crews from Bradford fire station, two from Odsal and a fifth vehicle from Halifax with a long ladder were sent out.
They rescued one person, who was handed over to paramedics for treatment. Two fire crews are still at the scene.
