A section of Burley-in-Wharfedale’s Main Street will be closed for up to five days next week as contractors carry out sewer repair works on behalf of Yorkshire Water.
Contractors are due to move onto a stretch of Main Street on Monday to start the work constructing a manhole chamber to prevent internal flooding at a nearby property.
Bus services will still call at stops in the village. A diversion for local traffic is being set up.
Advance warning signs have already gone up in Burley, and road closure and diversion route signs will be set up at 10am on Monday.
The application for the closure is from Monday until Friday, January 18, but the contractors hope to have the work completed by next Wednesday.
