A home-made film that shows Otley Chevin in a new light will receive its first screenings this weekend.
Planet of the Baybes, a spoof sci-fi musical, has been a ten-year ‘labour of love’ for its creators, Ian White and Wassef Massaad.
Produced on a shoestring budget, the two-hour film features local amateur actors and uses the Chevin as an alien landscape.
It will be shown at Otley Courthouse at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday and director and co-producer Mr White – a veteran of more than 30 local pantomimes – is hoping many of the cast will attend.
Mr Massaad added: “We’d like as many of the cast as possible to be there, but the public are welcome too.”
Tickets are available from the Courthouse or by calling the box office on (01943) 467466.
