Detectives are continuing to hunt for masked raiders who burst into Bradford homes holding up householders at gunpoint before escaping with tens of thousand of pounds of jewellery.
A team has been set up in Bradford to target criminals who commit such burglaries and robberies after a spate of thefts including a pensioner held up at gunpoint in Clayton Road, Lidget Green.
Since the start of Operation Scaldlock no more such raids have been reported, but police are still hunting for the men who carried out two raids in the weeks leading up to Christmas .
Nazma Nazir, whose grandfather Mohammed Amin, 81, was held at gunpoint when raiders ransacked their home in Clayton Road in November, said she police had not kept her family informed about the progress of the inquiry.
In that raid £45,000 of gold jewellery was taken including rings, bracelets and passports.
That robbery came only weeks after a raid in Oakleigh Road, Clayton, when armed robbers stole £60,000 of jewellery.
Anyone with information about the theft of gold jewellery, can contact police on the non-emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
