Bradford East MP David Ward has praised the work of the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) for Bradford Moor, Bowling and Barkerend following a meeting with Inspector Andrew Gallant.
At the meeting, Inspector Gallant spoke of the progress that has been made in the wards and what his team will be focusing on in 2013.
Mr Ward said: “Insp Gallant gave a number of examples of where the team had been effective in reducing problems to do with drug dealing and anti-social behaviour in the neighbourhood, including the issuing of 32 warrants for drugs offences.
“Confidence in the police is still lower than in other areas, but the more work the local NPT does the satisfaction level will increase.
“Day after day they are out on the streets tackling some really challenging issues and we are starting to see the results of their hard work.”
