The panto season is in full swing, with amateur societies across the district putting on their annual thigh-slapping extravaganzas.
Keighley Amateurs are rehearsing for Aladdin And His Wonderful Lamp, starring Steven Clark and Tim Steere as Dame Widow Twankee and her hapless son Wishee Washy. Fiona Spencer plays Aladdin and Brogan Hollindrake is Princess So-Shi.

Over at Ilkley, the Upstagers are putting on family favourite Cinderella from January 25 to February 2 at the King’s Hall and Winter Gardens. For tickets, ring (01943) 607944.
