A 17-year-old youth has pleaded guilty to a string of armed robbery attempts committed over a four-hour period in Bradford on November 1.
The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, was remanded back into custody at Bradford Crown Court yesterday to be sentenced on February 14.
He admitted attempting to rob the Post Office at Wrose Road, Shipley (pictured above after the raid); the Post Office at Lillycroft Road, Heaton; Nasim Food Store in Bishop Street, Manningham, and the Subway shop in Keighley Road, Frizinghall, between 3pm and 7pm.
The youth pleaded guilty to having an imitation firearm – a gas powered handgun – with him when he demanded money from staff at the four premises and fled empty handed.
The case was adjourned for a report from the probation service.
