SHEERAN Joseph Edward Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on 20th May aged 90 years. Loving husband to Deirdre, cherished father of Margaret, Gemma, Carmel, Dominic, Liam, Vincent, Padraig and Diarmuid, much-loved grandad, great-grandad, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, friend and pillar of the Irish community. Funeral to be held at St Francis R C Church, Five Lane Ends, Bradford on Friday 14th June at 12 noon, followed by burial at Undercliffe Cemetary. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, may be given to CAFOD. A plate will be provided at the service. Enquiries to Co op Funeralcare Tel 01274 582119.

When young people arrived in Bradford from Ireland in the 1990s, Joe was always there to welcome them and make them feel at home at 'Comhaltas' at the Irish Democratic League on Westgate, where he ran Irish language and dancing classes. A wonderful man and a sad loss!
