HAMBLER Dr David John Died peacefully at home, aged 93, supported by outstanding carers. Much loved and loving husband and father of Jeanne, Clive and Keith. Retired Senior Lecturer in biology and environmental sciences, University of Bradford. Pioneer, polymath, philosopher and visionary. He had an extraordinary life, facing extraordinary difficulties with his fighting spirit. His legacy will long survive him in the wildlife he protected, the things he discovered and made, and his critical, rebellious, independent, original ideas. Burial on 31st May, promptly at 1pm, Thornton Cemetery, Bradford. Eulogies, personal tributes and memories at The New Tyke, Thornton Road from about 1.45 - 2.30, with dance music in celebration of his life until 9pm. All who knew and cared for him are very welcome to drop in at any time, even if only briefly. No flowers or photography at the funeral or reception, please.
