Greetings from Canada.

First off, our condolences on the passing of a wonderful man known to us as Uncle Michael. Of course, Pearl’s memories go back to childhood and for Bob, for over 25 years. And fond memories they are. From trips here in Canada to our stays over the past number of years in England. We have travelled with Uncle Michael and Aunt Doreen in Texas, up at the Cottage in Ontario, in and around Hamilton, on our boat in Lake Ontario and Georgian Bay as well as around Bradford, the Lake District, York and London in England.

Its was always a pleasure to spend time together and, for Bob, that meant the occasional pint or two at the local pub. One of the highlights for us was our surprise visit to Uncle Michael’s 80th birthday. The look on his and Aunt Doreen’s faces was precious. And, of course, let’s not forget last summer’s big party for his 85th. Good thing the rain held off—it would have been hard to fit everyone into the house!

Uncle Michael was a great story teller. He always had a memory or story from the past to share with us and we were eager to listen. His memory of the past was vivid and his observations always interesting. We will miss that connection with the past.

We are sorry that we were unable to attend today in person, but know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and in particular, our precious Aunt Doreen. May God bless all of you as you remember and grieve his loss.

Blessings,
Pearl and Bob.
