Derek DAYKIN

DAYKIN Derek On 29th January 2024, Derek, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. The loving husband of Shirley, a much-loved dad to Janet and Wendy, a dear father-in-law to Paul and Pete, a treasured grandad to Kathryn, Harry and Ross and a good friend to all who knew him. The funeral service will be held at Shay Grange Crematorium, Bradford, on Monday 19th February at 10:30am. Friends and family are asked to meet at the crematorium and in celebration of Derek's life please wear bright colours. Family flowers only, but if desired donations in Derek's memory may be made to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Derek was a governor at Low Ash for many years. His dedication and commitment to the school and Wrose community was an inspiration to me and many others. The whole school community wishes his family the very best, we are sorry for your loss.
