Mabel DEWHIRST

DEWHIRST Mabel (formerly Calvert nee Baker) On 5th January 2024 Mabel passed away peacefully, with family present, aged 94 years. Much loved wife of the late Albert, very dear mum, stepmother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma and friend to many. Funeral service will be held at Shay Grange Crematorium on Tuesday 30th January at 12:45pm. Family flowers only but donations may be made in memory of Mabel to Sue Ryder and R.S.P.C.A. My deepest condoléances to Mabel’s family.
I have just found out today about Mabel DeWhirst’s passing and was saddened by it!

I had been corresponding with Mabel for almost 40 years - since 1986 when my husband Jean-Guy and I stayed at her (and Albert’s) B&B…

I cherish the memories of all our correspondances💖.

She held a special and loving place in my heart.

We visited Mable again in 2001 with our 14 yr-old son Rémi. Here are photos of the last time we saw her.

Once again, my heartfelt condoléances to her son, granddaughters and all family.
