COLLETT Wendy "Nee Spilman" Formerly of Lidget Green It is with deep sadness that Wendy's family have to announce her passing at her home in Earlsheaton, Dewsbury on Thursday 4th May, aged 81. Dearly beloved wife of Terry, much loved mum of Paula and Jonathan and a loving and devoted grandma. A Celebration of Wendy's life will be held at Dewsbury Moor Crematorium (WF13 3PL) on Monday 22nd May at 1.15pm. Donations for Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue and Heron Bank Cat Rescue may be made on leaving the service. Alternatively, the family encourage mourners to bring small, unwrapped hand tied bunches of pink and purple flowers to the service. These will be displayed during the service. Condolences to the family and sorry to have seen and learnt of this. Apparently Wendy was once engaged to my dad. My dad sadly passed away in Apr 2019, I found an old number amongst dad's contacts, not expecting it still be current on trying it I managed to speak to Wendy briefly when she answered to inform her of my dad's passing. I am not sure if she knew of me or not. I didn't know Wendy myself as was all before I was born it was just out of courtesy to inform. Dad very close up to the end of his passing spoke fondly of her and I felt it right to try and make contact. I do have a few photos of them together.
