EARP Joy Lesley (nee Mattison) On 18th November 2022, Joy died peacefully after a short illness, aged 73. Beloved wife of Alan, dearly loved mum of Alison, Joanne and Lauren, Nana to Lois and Callum, mother-in-law, aunty, sister and friend to many. Cremation at Oakworth, Friday 23rd December 2022 at 10:45. Family flowers only please, donations welcomed to Airedale ICU. Enquiries to Arthur B Baxter Funeral Directors 01274 562668.

It is with much sadness i write, learning of Joy's passing. Having emigrated to Australia 20 years ago, I have wanted to make contact to express my appreciation for all the time Joy and her team gave me as a young apprentice chef, Joys methods and words never left me and i never felt unprepared in any kitchens that followed. She was a wonderful chef and teacher for not only did she make me a capable chef but more importantly a better person in every way possible.
