SAYCE Thornton On Wednesday 17th August 2022 Thornton (also known as Percy or Tony) passed away peacefully at Fairmount Nursing Home, Shipley aged 94 years. Before his retirement he had worked as a coach painter for 46 years at Wallace Arnold, Leeds. Much loved and respected by his family and friends. Thornton's funeral service and cremation will take place at Nab Wood Crematorium, Shipley on Friday 9th September at 1.20pm. Family flowers only please but donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Society. A box will be provided for this purpose or may be made online at www.david-gallagher.co.uk.Thornton was a lifelong supporter of Huddersfield Town AFC the family would be happy for anyone to wear something in the teams colours of blue and white.
