IBEGBUNA Augustine Chukwuemeka (Gus) Beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away after a period of illness, aged 74. He is survived by his three children Ruth, Jade and Kwame, niece Roxanne, nephew Marc and granddaughter Thea. A pillar of the African community in Bradford, Gus was also a prominent advocate for diabetes awareness, a staunch union man and inter-community relations across the city and beyond. He will be forever remembered and missed by many. A memorial service is being held at First Martyrs Catholic Church in Bradford on Friday 15th July at 1.30pm. Augustine will later be taken back to his ancestral village in Nigeria for burial.
