THORNTON Shirley (nee Woodhouse) On 21st April 2022, Shirley passed away peacefully in hospital aged 87 years, formerly of Fairweather Green. The dearly beloved wife of the late Ernest, a loving mum of Gary and Leslie, dear mother-in-law of Tina and Maureen and the late Sue, a treasured grandma of Darren, Donna, Emily and Luke, proud great-grandma of Lewis, Demmi, Evan, Jordan and Ava and great-great-grandma of Baby J.J. Shirley was a dear sister of Beryl and sister-in-law to David and their family and a good friend to all who knew her. Funeral service and cremation will be held at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Friday 27th May at 10.30am. Will friends please meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only but if desired donations in Shirley's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Society and a collection box will be available for this purpose.
