DOUGLAS Jarvis used a 100mm macro lens on his Pentax DSLR to capture this pin-sharp close-up of a bee.
A macro lens allows a photographer to focus much closer than would otherwise be possible and can produce some stunning shots.
Graham Keegan calls his close-up of a bedraggled rose ‘fading summer’ and that certainly sums up this interesting composition.
Douglas and Graham each receive a free print courtesy of Bradford Camera Exchange, in Northgate.
