• This is your last chance to enjoy the Christmas festivities in Haworth with the Panto Weekend when you can experience the magic of panto and join in the parade dressed as your favourite panto character. All ages are welcome and there will be prizes for the best-dressed character. The parade starts at the bottom of Main Street outside the Old Registry tomorrow at 3pm, ending at the church steps at the top of Main Street for judging. Shops and shopkeepers will be dressed following the panto theme over the weekend.
  • Get the festive season off to a lively start tomorrow when Bradford Festival Choral Society is joined by Bradford Youth Choir and the world famous GUS Band at St George's Hall in a selection of well-loved carols and brass band music. There will be plenty of opportunity to sing along, and children in the audience will have a guest spot on stage. The concert starts at 3pm and tickets cost £4.50 to £12.40, from (01274) 432000.
  • Treat younger members of the family with the enchanting tale of The Night Before Christmas, at The Square Chapel Centre for the Arts in Halifax. It's the story of Eddie, the little mouse, who can't understand why only humans are allowed to celebrate and get presents. Determined to find Father Christmas and ask the man himself, he sets off on his search. Along the way he dodges the family cat, gets directions from a cowardly toy soldier and is given some unexpected advice from the magical fairy on top of the tree. Suitable for children aged three to seven, there are performances tomorrow and Sunday at noon and 3pm, and on Christmas Eve at 10am and noon. Telephone the box office on (01422) 349422.
