• This weekend go and see Santa as he flies in to visit children aboard his airliner grotto at the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington, York. You could include your visit in a trip to the interesting museum, which is authentically based on a Second World War Bomber Command Station. The unique displays include the original Control Tower, the air gunners' collection, Barnes Wallis's prototype "bouncing bomb" and a superb airborne engineers display. Tickets are available from the shop section or by calling (01904) 608719.
  • Tomorrow and Sunday visit Bolling Hall and see the beautiful Christmas decorations, learn about English seasonal traditions, visit Santa (from noon until 3pm) and join in the family craft and trail activities. Tomorrow there's a Christmas Carol Concert from 5pm to 7pm, in association with St John's Church, with refreshments provided. Weather permitting, the concert will be held outside, so remember to wrap up warm.
  • You are invited to join the Victorian Masquerade celebrations at Haworth tomorrow and Sunday. Create your own unique mask to wear and add to the colourful street festivities. Music, dance and street entertainers make this a real festive family event. The weekend's festivities start at 11am.
