A NUMBER of schools in the Bradford district are closed today amid a weather warning for snow.
Due to the volume of people looking, Bradford Council's school closures web page crashed just before 6.45am, returning periodically thereafter.
Stanbury Village Primary, near Haworth, was the first full closure announced by Bradford Council, followed by Beckfoot Upper Heaton.

At around 6.30am, the Council’s school closures website also announced the full closure of St Anthony's Catholic Primary School in Clayton.
Meanwhile, Beckfoot Phoenix, Beckfoot Nessfield and Crossley Hall Primary School will all close at 1pm to allow staff and students to get home safely.
Oastlers School will also shut early.
A statement explaining the Stanbury closure said: "Met Office Yellow warning of snow, Heavy snow forecast from 9am, and Amber warning of heavy snow in the afternoon The closure may extend into Friday 10th March."
Beckfoot Upper Heaton is also closed and said the decision was made for the safety of pupils and staff.
Beckfoot Thornton is also shut, it explained with a message on its website:
Titus Salt School in Baildon will also not be open today.
A statement on its website, from headteacher Mr Ian Morrell, reads: "Classwork will be posted on Mircosoft Teams, there is no expectation for lessons to run in real time and no sanctions for non completion of work.
"The forecast for heavy snow from 11.00am onwards for the rest of the day is concerning as the potential hazards it may cause traveling home from school.
"As we all know, it is a struggle for the Council to clear all main routes and side roads do not get cleared.
"In addition, many families get anxious about children traveling home from school, especially if the heavy snow does arrive mid-morning and emergency travel and/or collection is needed.
"This could be made worse by more traffic than usual being on roads creating more congestion, plus buses and other school transport may either not be available or struggle through the traffic and weather creating potentially more problems."
Appleton Academy also said that pupils were being sent home at 12.30pm due to the weather.
