A NUMBER of shops and restaurants at Leeds Bradford Airport have been given food hygiene ratings.
The Yeadon airport's sites including WH Smiths shops, Starbucks, Greggs, Burger King and The Yorkshire Lounge were all given five-star ratings in their respective inspections by the Food Standards Agency.
John Cunliffe, commercial and strategy director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: "We're delighted to see eateries and shops across the airport receive the highest five-star hygiene ratings.
"Together with our business partners, we strive to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for passengers, so it’s excellent that this work has been recognised."
Meanwhile, new food hygiene ratings for eateries across the Bradford district have been published by the Food Standards Agency.
Listed below are the latest findings of council inspectors, as they are back in Bradford.
Almost 4,000 premises across Bradford are rated by the Food Standards Agency, based on the findings of local authority inspectors, who work all year round.
The hygiene standards found at the time of inspection are then rated on a scale.
Five is top of the scale, meaning the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law. Zero is at the bottom of the scale, meaning urgent improvement is necessary.
