A Baildon health and fitness centre is under new ownership after a deal in which Nuffield Health bought the 15-strong chain of Greens Health & Fitness centres from the De Vere Group.
The deal, which includes the Greens centre on Otley Road, Baildon, follows Nuffield Health’s acquisitions of Cannons gyms in 2007 and Bladerunner fitness in 2010.
Buying Greens increases Nuffield Health’s membership to 300,000 across 66 consumer and 200 corporate sites, making it the sixth largest provider of fitness services in the UK.
Nuffield Health chief executive David Mobbs said: “The acquisition will allow health consumers to benefit from the unique proposition Nuffield Health provides and maximise the number of members who are able to achieve fitness goals.”
