A Bradford events business which looked after some of the Press covering the royal wedding has clinched a top national award for the second year running.
Event Hire, which opened its Bradford base in 2009, has again been named hire company of the year with multiple outlets at the Hire Awards of Excellence.
Event Hire, in Prince Street, Buttershaw, won the prize as a result of its expansion and consistency over the past six years at the awards organised by the Hire Association Europe, which polices and supports 1,000 hire companies, and the Event Hire Association.
The business, established by Les Vipond and Phil Edwards in 2005, has worked on a number of high profile national events including the British Grand Prix, the MOBO Awards, the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Royal Ascot, Sports Personality of the Year and, most recently, some of the press areas at the royal wedding.
The business expanded this year, acquiring rival furniture hire business Jongor Birming-ham and establishing an exhibitions arm, Eventex Furniture Hire.
Managing director Mr Vipond said: “We are absolutely thrilled to win this award on two consecutive years. Having been in business for just six years, we have worked tirelessly to provide superb customer service and grow the business.
“To have that effort and investment acknowledged and reinforced by the HAE is fantastic, and it has given us the endorsement we needed to ensure we continue to provide standout service and grow Event Hire further.”
