A long-established sole practitioner law firm in Ilkley is to merge with a company which opened an office in the town last month.

Susan Cuthbertson & Co, a well-known legal practice on Leeds Road, is merging with Ison Harrison law firm which has opened on The Grove.

Susan Cuthbertson said: “I have run my solicitor’s practice in Ilkley very successfully for over 30 years but as a sole practitioner.

“I have been thinking of merging with another suitable law firm for several years now.

“When I knew that Ison Harrison was intending to open an office in Ilkley I was immediately interested in talking to them with a view to merging.

“I feel sure that my clients will benefit greatly from the additional support such a large and well respected firm as Ison Harrison can offer.

“I will obviously continue to be the first point of contact for my clients.

“However, as there will now be six specialist lawyers at our Ilkley office, my clients are likely to also deal with my colleagues.

“I would like to thank all those who have supported me over the years and hope that they will continue to support me in my new venture.”
