An Ilkley-based provider of online child protection courses has signed up its 100,000th student.
The Safeguarding Children e-Academy, part of Virtual College, signed up Andrea Embleton, a community psychiatric nurse with Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust, to its awareness of child abuse and neglect module, which was the first course to be launched in 2006.
The Foundation put a record 2,174 employees through e-learning in a single month.
Manager Abby Dacres said: “With more than 110,000 learners currently studying, there are real signs that our members are fully recognising the value of e-learning and driving its adoption throughout their organisations.”
