A consultant cleaning and catering company is bucking the trend and celebrating one of its busiest Christmas periods in 40 years.

Consultant Services Group Ltd has increased business by 150 per cent compared with this time last year by winning new contracts worth nearly £500,000.

The Heckmondwike-based family-run company operates through two subsidiaries, Consultant Cleaners Ltd and Consultant Caterers Ltd.

Founder and chairman Keith Midgley said: “Think that you can and you will has always been a CSG motto and has served us well during many years.”

Day-to-day running of the firm, which employs around 2,000 staff, is in the hands of Mr Midgley’s son, Simon (pictured) who is chief executive.

Mr Midgley said that where clients were struggling CSG worked with them to provide assessments to ensure they get best value from contracts .

He said: “We do what we can for those clients that may be struggling and structure our services to suit requirements now and in the future.”
