The owner of a West Yorkshire menswear store and his right hand man are between them celebrating 50 years of service to a business that has itself been established for well over half a century.
Steven Bower, proprietor of Michael Bower Menswear, and shop manager David Kehoe have notched up the 50-year landmark.
Steven said: “We’re proud of our achievement and happy to report that, while the picture in the retail sector is gloomy, this is not the case with independent specialists like ourselves.”
He took over the Bradford Road, Riddlesden, business in 1988. It was founded in 1950 by Paul Walowka. In 1978, he took on David Kehoe.
Under Steven’s tenure, three shop refurbishment schemes have taken place, and the milestone also sees the launch of mbmenswear.co.uk.
