THE Telegraph & Argus is today launching its Best Beauty Salon 2024 competition.

We need your help to crown the winner - and T&A readers can now nominate their favourite beauty salon in the district via an online voting platform.

Online nominations open today, Monday, September 16, and close on Sunday, September 22.

The 10 finalists will then be revealed on Monday, September 23.

Readers can then vote for which business they think should be named Best Beauty Salon by picking up copies of the Telegraph & Argus and completing a voting coupon.

Speaking as the online nominations for the Telegraph & Argus Best Beauty Salon 2024 opened, Nigel Burton, Telegraph & Argus editor, said: “There are so many amazing beauty salons across the Bradford district with dedicated staff who help their clients to feel and look great.

“These businesses were hit hard during the Covid-19 pandemic due to having to close through lockdowns or operate under restrictions, so it’s great to see them with their doors open again and thriving.

“So, if you have a favourite, be sure to nominate them so they can be in with a chance of taking the top spot in our competition.”

From nails and brows to lashes, facials, and massages, beauty salons are often filled with talented staff who go the extra mile to make sure their clients feel fabulous.

And it’s an industry that has weathered some difficult storms in recent years and contributes massively to the country’s economy.

According to the British Beauty Council’s latest Value of Beauty Report, compiled by Oxford Economics, the British beauty industry grew by an impressive 11 per cent last year – with signs it is "shaking off the triple hangovers of Brexit, Covid, and the cost of living crisis".

The report found sales reached £27.2bn last year for both products and services. This is close to the pre-Covid average of £28bn.

The growth puts the personal care industry ahead of publishing, chemical manufacturing, and the creative arts and entertainment industries, said the British Beauty Council.

To make a nomination, you just need to follow this link and complete the details on the form.

We can't wait to see all the entries and celebrate some fantastic beauty salons.

We welcome nominations from all corners of Bradford and we’d love to see businesses from across the district represented.
