TIME is running out for anyone who still hasn’t planned their Christmas and New Year celebrations, to book one of the few remaining places for Christmas Day lunch, or the New Year’s Eve extravaganza, at The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park, in Nab Wood near Shipley.
A fabulous four-course Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings, as well as both salmon and vegetarian options, as an alternative to turkey or beef, will be served at The Clubhouse from 12noon on Christmas Day. There are just a handful of places left at £40 per person, or £20 for children.
The following week, The Clubhouse will then host its famous New Year’s Eve celebration. Guests at the black-tie event will be treated to a Pimm’s reception, followed by a sumptuous dinner, before being entertained with comedy, live music, and dancing, as well as enjoying champagne and fireworks at midnight. In addition to its restaurant and bar, facilities at The Clubhouse include swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, bowling green, snooker table, putting green, and private function suite. Members across all age groups enjoy unlimited use of its facilities.
The Clubhouse is owned and operated by Czajka Care Group, which, this year, has already organised and hosted more festive events, parties, trips, and fairs than ever before.
Residents at Fairmount Nursing Home, Brookfield Care Home, and Staveley Birk Leas Nursing Home, which are all in Nab Wood, as well as Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton, and Beanlands Nursing Home in Cross Hills, have all enjoyed packed social calendars during the festive season.
Earlier this month, both Beanlands and Brookfield hosted highly successful Christmas Fairs that included carol singers, mulled wine, mince pies, curry, raffles, gift stalls, and a Santa’s Grotto. Currergate then held a Christmas-themed coffee morning and cake sale, and The Clubhouse threw a grand Christmas party.
In addition, Brookfield organised an Elf Day for Alzheimer's Society, and supported Sparkle for Axl day, which raises money to buy toys and specialist play equipment for young patients being treated across Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. All these events were very well attended by residents, their families, and the local communities surrounding the homes.
In recent weeks, young people from Staveley Birkleas Nursing Home have boogied the night away at ABBA and Take That tribute concerts. Staveley Birkleas is one of only a few facilities of its kind in West Yorkshire, and is home to residents aged between 18 and 64, with a vast range of needs and physical disabilities that prevent them from looking after themselves in their own homes.
Other popular trips have included Christmas shopping at the White Rose Centre in Leeds, a visit to the enchanting Woodbank Nurseries at Harden, as well as lunch and shopping at Stephen H. Smith's Garden Centre.
