A 23-year-old Bradford woman has realised her dream and opened her own hair salon in Ilkley.

Called The Salon, it aims to provide sophisticated and stylish treatments to clients in a classy atmosphere.

Jemma Dowker, a graduate of Craven College, said: "I believe it is essential clients have an enjoyable experience when they visit their hairdressers, as well as having an expert and professional treatment.

"I have created The Salon to do that, and feel all our clients will be relaxed and will all be looking great after each appointment."

The Salon, on Wells Road, Ilkley, will offer a choice of top class styling using internationally renowned products from the Paul Mitchell Collection and the Koleston Perfect professional colouring.

The décor has been especially designed to give a calming and enjoyable experience using suave deep chocolate and old cream colours.

Miss Dowker is working with industry expert Sue Watson Wood, who has more than 17 years experience in the business, with a London apprenticeship and ten years of lecturing at Bradford College.
