Spooner Industries could see its new multi-million pound headquarters completed by Christmas following the allocation of the building contract to a Yorkshire firm.
The Ilkley-based engineering company, which has been on its leased Railway Road site since the 1950s, gained permission from Bradford Council last year to build a new factory on land the company owns on Mayfield Road.
North Yorkshire construction company Houseman and Falshaw have won the building contract, it was announced this week, and hopes to have the factory built by Christmas.
The 56,000 square foot development will include a factory, office and research and development centre. Spooner's Ilkley headquarters serves the global market.
The company has around 90 staff, and is one of Ilkley's biggest employers.
