HELP from a Shipley-based company has enabled a community café to buy new kitchen equipment.
Outside the Box, run by Ilkley Community Enterprise Ltd, received a £500 donation from specialist insurer Keycare.
Louise Hale, a trustee from Outside the Box, said: “We are so appreciative of the huge amount of support we have received from local firms. We operate as a business, but also rely on charitable giving. The Keycare donation came at exactly the right time and enabled us to fund the replacement of various kitchen equipment.”
Outside the Box supports local people with learning disabilities, encouraging them to be more independent by participating in all aspects of running the café.
Rachel Taylor, director at Keycare, added: “We admire the ethos of Outside the Box and were pleased to be able to help them in the work that they do. This kind of resource is vital within communities, not only for the support that it offers to its members, but for the impact that it has on the wider locality.”
Keycare – which recovers and replaces lost or stolen keys for customers of household names and blue chip organisations – has supported a range of good causes.
These have included Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Martin House Hospice in Boston Spa.
