BRADFORD Bulls commercial head says recent sponsorship deals have demonstrated confidence in the rugby league club’s prospects.
Rob Parker, the Kingstone Press Championship club’s commercial manager, has unveiled two five-figure deals with companies which include special offers for fans.
Bulls has signed a deal with Bradford-based scuba diving specialists Divers Warehouse, based oin Wakefield Road, which specialises in diving classes, equipment hire and servicing.
The agreement will see Divers Warehouse’s branding appear on billboards around the Provident Stadium at Odsal and the firm will offer discounts for members of the Bulls’ 1863 Club.
Rob Parker said: “To have Divers Warehouse on board is massively pleasing, it is yet another sign of the ever-growing confidence in our brand.
“Divers Warehouse, very much like ourselves, are in the process of rebuilding and re-emerging as a leader in their field and we are delighted to be working alongside them in their efforts.”
Michelle Hedley Divers Warehouse managing director, described the deal as “groundbreaking”.
She said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with the Bulls in what is a first for the diving industry. Working alongside local businesses is massively important to us as, in the past, we have struggled in business. Now we are working our way up and going from strength to strength – a lot like the club itself.
“We see this as a fantastic opportunity for us to grow as a business, backing the club’s efforts to make an immediate return to First:Utility Super League.”
Divers Warehouse will be supporting a Bulls open day on Saturday May 16. featuring ‘try dives’, a bouncy castle and refreshments with those attending mingling with the first-team squad members .
Bulls has also signed up leading manufacturer R&R Ice Cream in another a five-figure deal which includes supplying Bulls with refrigeration units, and a range of products. Products made by UK-based R&R, which employs more than 3,500 staff globally, will be sold at the provident Stadium throughout the week and on match days.
Jasbir Singh Athwal, recently appointed Bulls non-executive director, was behind the ice cream deal.
He said: “It gives me great pleasure to have teamed up this fantastic club with such a massive brand. R&R Ice Creams are without doubt Europe’s biggest ice cream manufacturers and they are globally renowned, working throughout the world.
“They were really excited about the prospect of operating alongside an equally iconic name in rugby league and have been fantastic in their support so far.”
