EXTRA revenues of more than £1 million should be generated through a new service launched by a Bradford-based logistics firm.
Advanced Supply Chain has launched a container logistics service, which has already proved popular with its big brand, blue chip client base.
The global end-to-end supply chain provider, which was named as one of the London Stock Exchange’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’, is forecasting it will handle 40 loads as part of the new service each week, generating £1.1 million in revenues.
ASC has a £43.4million turnover and the company employs more than 600 staff.
The new service uses ASC’s fleet of 80 tractors and 250 trailers and will forge closer links between the transport and freight divisions of the business, Mike Danby, chief executive, said: “It makes absolute sense for the business to launch this new service at this time. We already had substantial infrastructure advantages which made container logistics a relatively simple addition to the range of end-to-end services we are now able to offer.”
