HOUSEBUILDER Persimmon Homes has job vacancies in West Yorkshire as it looks to boost the number of homes it builds here.
The York-based firm increased completions in West Yorkshire by seven per cent in the first 15 weeks of 2015.
Wayne Gradwell, managing director for Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said: “We have a number of vacancies within the business here in West Yorkshire and we are also actively involved in the company’s Combat to Construction initiative, which retrains leavers from the UK Armed Forces into builders and joiners.
"The scheme has already trained 80 leavers since its launch at the end of 2014 and is aiming to train a further 300 in the course of 2015.
“The spring selling season continues to outperform last year, and in total the business already has 7,375 new homes sold forward into the private sale market nationally for 2015.”
