EMILY Cox has been appointed general manager at the Best Western Plus Cedar Court Hotel Leeds Bradford, after running the Mercure Bankfield hotel in Bingley and working as special projects manager for the Jury Hotel group.

After studying for a fine art degree at the University of Bradford, Emily joined Jupiter Hotels, which operates the Mercure brand, as a management trainee. She gained management experience as a general manager with the group in Leeds, Wetherby and, for more than three years, at the Bankfield.

Mathew Griffin, Cedar Court Hotels operations director, said, “We welcome Emily to the group. She brings with her a depth of management know-how, together with an understanding of the local area that will be of huge benefit to delivering the high standards of hospitality our guests expect.”
