PACKAGE holiday specialist Jet2holidays has reached one million bookings in a financial year for the first time.
Since its launch in February 2007, the business has grown to become the UK’s third largest tour operator, offering breaks to more than 50 destinations from seven UK bases, including Leeds Bradford Airport from where nearly 210,000 of its customers have departed in the past 12 months, taking the total to more than 630,000 over the last seven years.
Overall, nearly three million passengers have travelled with the company from across the North.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “To hit the millionth booking mark for this financial year is a fantastic achievement for us.”
