For the fifth year, the Telegraph & Argus is holding our Bradford Means Business Awards, and we need you to help us find winners in two categories.

The Bradford Means Business Awards are about honouring those who have pulled through some of the worst economic times in recent memory - those who have survived, those who have thrived and those who have set up shop.

While most of our categories are aimed at companies nominating themselves, we also want to hear about the best employers and those who provide the best public services or customer satisfaction. And those nominations are better coming from the people who know best.

The first category in which we'll be seeking public nominations is the Retail, Leisure or Hospitality Business of the Year, sponsored by Westfield.

We want to hear about the highest standards of customer service from our readers' favourite businesses.

It might be a hotel, pub, restaurant, shop or any business that has day-to-day contact with the public. We're accepting nominations either by post via the form below or by filling in the form on thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/ business/business_awards/categories, and filling in the form.

Last year the Midland Hotel in Bradford city centre was named the Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Business of the Year, and general manager Gary Peacock described the award as a "tremendous honour."

"We have an ethos within our business to put the customer first, and that is what we're all about, " he said.

"I'm privileged to work with a fantastic group of people who champion the cause of not only the Midland Hotel but the city of Bradford."

When it comes to the category of Employer of the Year, sponsored by Gordons solicitors, we know the only people who can truly nominate for this are those who work for the business.

We want to know about the working environment, people development, training and a commitment to the general wellbeing of the workforce. You can nominate for this category on the form or online.

The 2014 winner in this category was Cimlogic, a systems integrator based at Salts Mill in Saltaire which took home both the Business and Technical Innovation of the Year and the Employer of the Year awards.

"To be crowned winners against such strong competition is tremendous for the company, it's overwhelming really, " said operations director, Neil Taylor.

"It's absolutely fantastic, and it shows that all our hard work actually means something, " added fellow director, James Sykes.

Is your boss worthy of a gong? Is your local retailer in need of a boost? Get your nominations to us by the first-stage deadline of FRIDAY, APRIL 10.

And don't forget to get your entries in for the other categories as the clock is now ticking. The earlier you get your entries in, the more time we'll have to consider your information, get back to you if we need more, and ensure you're in the right category.

After this date the panel will convene and sort through all the entries, and will draw up a short-list of three finalists in each category, which will be announced nearer the date of the awards ceremony, when shortlisted entrants will be contacted. Then it's just the wait for the nail-biting final on June 13, when the winners will be announced.

The categories are: Small or Medium Enterprise of the Year; Manufacturer of the Year; New Business of the Year; Apprentice of the Year; Job Creator of the Year; Business or Technical Innovation of the Year; Retail, Leisure or Hospitality Business of the Year; Business Woman of the Year; Business Personality of the Year and Employer of the Year. The Winner of Winners category will be judged from the winners of each of the other categories.

You can find full information on each of the categories on our website, where there is a dedicated page and entry form for each category.
