MULTI-MILLION pound expansion plans, creating 50 new jobs, are expected to get approval this week.
Bradford firm P&B Foods Ltd plans to double the size of its operation by moving into a facility at the city’s Prologis business park and increase its workforce over the next five years.
The company already has planning permission for the development at the Rooley Lane site, but has submitted revised proposals, with the planned warehouse now 15m high, rather than 12m.
However, Marks & Spencer, which has its regional distribution centre next to the proposed site, has objected to the plans.
The firm is objecting to plans to block off one of the access routes into the business park.
A letter to planners says: “M&S have concerns surrounding the blocking up of the northern access off of Rooley Lane, which they believe shall cause access and queuing issues at the southern access point”.
Bradford Council’s Regulatory and Appeals Committee will discuss the proposal at its next meeting at 10am, on Thursday, at City Hall.
