A TWO-DAY event for sports turf industry specialists will be held at the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) later this month.
STRI Research 2014 will be held at its Bingley St Ives research base and provide an insight into the world of sports turf management, bringing together greenkeepers, course managers, fine turf managers, ground staff and sports professionals.
More than 250 delegates from all over the world attended last year's event and this year attendess will discuss the latest developments and research into sports turf products, techniques and technology.
The event will run on September 17 and 18 and include demonstrations across eight separate turf management areas.
Ruth Mann, STRI head of research , said: “We’re building on the success of previous events and have taken on board all the great feedback from attendees and incorporated this in the 2014 programme. All the elements that have worked so well in previous years have been retained together with new demonstrations and an additional topic station to ensure that this event is the best one yet. " Invitations have been sent out to more than 6,000 sports clubs across the UK and Ireland.
