Wool Warehouses Ltd., a subsidiary of Bradford-based international wool supplier H Dawson Wool, has ceased collecting and grading wool for The British Wool Marketing Board after 25 years.
Dawsons said the decision had been made to release storage space at its Bradford premises.
Jo Dawson, chief executive, said: “We have a growing need for more storage space as we continue to develop our global wool trading business to meet our customers’ needs. We are proud to have partnered with the BWMB for more than a quarter of a century to collect and grade their wool, and we will continue to work with them to market and promote wool and on other projects. We are passionate about British Wool and will remain a major buyer in this market.”
From the beginning of May the Bradford-based British Wool Marketing Board has been using one of its own subsidiaries, Northern of England Wools Ltd, to fulfil its collecting and grading needs.
