A chef with five-star experience has joined the team at The Waterside Restaurant & Bar in Shipley.
Ainsleigh Pickard has been appointed sous chef at the Wharfe Street venue.
She began her career at the five-star St Martin’s Lane Hotel, near London’s Leicester Square and Covent Garden before returning to her native Yorkshire in 2006, to join the Gray Ox in Liversedge, where she progressed from commis to sous chef, often assuming the role of head chef.
She took a year out in 2011 to work at the Ibiza Rocks Diner in San Antonio, where she was part of a team that averaged more than 1,000 meals a day.
The Waterside, owned by chef James Downey, has also appointed Dean Majors to head up its from of house staff as maitre d.
He previously spent five years as maitre d at the Queens in Apperley Bridge.
Becky Cheale has also joined the front of house team.
