Banker Tom Procter swapped his pinstripes for overalls to spend the day working alongside one of his customers.
Mr Procter, business banking manager at Barclays, worked at Phoenix Autos in Skipton as part of a pledge to find out about his client’s needs and the range of issues facing local businesses.
He joined garage boss Chris Gallagher to learn about car parts and machinery, how to order new parts, health and safety – and even made the tea as he learned the ropes.
Tom said: “As champions of business, Barclays is committed to supporting the local economy and I am committed to finding out more about our client’s business to help them achieve their ambitions. The more we know and learn about our customers the better, enabling us to provide the right levels of support and advice when required.”
