Tony Pleasants, from Bingley, has been promoted to run the London office of Skipton-based architects Bowman Riley.

His promotion coincides with the firm winning a major commission to develop part of the former Olympic village in East London. Bowman Riley will develop the designs for two new buildings on the site of former athletes’ accommodation. The East London site is undergoing transformation into apartments.

Working for Longcross Construction, it will design a marketing and management building to promote the site redevelopment and a commercial building of around 35,000 sq ft to accommodate a convenience store, fitness centre, cafe, restaurant and bar.
