KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has increased flight frequencies from Leeds-Bradford Airport to international destinations at the start of its summer schedule.
The airline has increased its flights by one more daily flight to 26 per week from Leeds to Amsterdam. KLM said it was committed to providing convenient travel options from Leeds-Bradford to an extensive range of worldwide destinations.
Henri Hourcade, general manager UK/Ireland at Air France and KLM, said: “KLM has a strong presence in Leeds and this additional frequency is a direct response to customer demand. Despite the challenging economic climate, we’re committed to giving travellers even greater flexibility and widest choice of medium and long-haul destinations. For us, it is about supporting regional aviation so that we can make travel easier and more convenient for holiday makers and businesses right across the UK.”
KLM’s flights from Leeds-Bradford provide fast connections to international destinations through Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
- Meanwhile, struggling regional airline Flybe, which operates three services from Leeds-Bradford, has confirmed it is in talks about selling runway slots at London Gatwick airport to raise up to £20 million.
