A web design and digital marketing company has received a boost from TV Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis.
Tom and Claire Gatenby, owners of Wilsden-based Squashed Pixel Ltd, contacted Theo’s weekly tweet Small Business Sunday. The entrepreneur re-tweeted their message to 350,000 followers which led to the business getting more than 100 extra followers within 24 hours along with requests for quotations for design work from all over the UK.
Squashed Pixel has also been profiled on a new website, Theopaphitissbs.com, which is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.
Mr Gatenby said: “To have received this type of support from such an influential person like Theo Paphitis is an incredible honour. As a small graphic design company it is a constant challenge to compete with the increasing number of ‘cheap website’ companies, however with opportunities such as SBS, we can get the increased exposure needed.”
