HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 118 PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 425 (BRADFORD SOUTH) (PART)
LOWER SCHOOL STREET TO COMMON ROAD LOW MOOR BRADFORD
PUBLIC PATH (EXTINGUISHMENT) ORDER 2016
On 14th April 2016, the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to extinguish that part of Public Footpath No. 425 (Bradford South) as shown by a continuous bold line on map no. 66666/T218/Order Plan annexed to the Order as follows:-1. A-B: that part of Public Footpath No. 425 (Bradford South) commencing at its junction with Lower School Street, Low Moor, Bradford, marked point A on the map, and continuing in a south-south-westerly direction for a distance of 80 metres with a width of 3 metres to its junction with Common Road, Low Moor, Bradford, marked point B on the map. This footpath runs through the grounds of Hill Top C of E Primary School and Nursery. A copy of the confirmed Order and the Order map has been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the Customer Services Office, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford during normal office hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.
The Order comes into force on 12th May 2016, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act (as amended), or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 22nd April 2016, make an application to the High Court.
