ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL ALDERSCHOLES LANE, THORNTON, BRADFORD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC (NO 511) ORDER 2016
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council by reason of works to remove tree branches from overhead powerlines to be executed on or near Alderscholes Lane, Thornton has made the above named Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of Alderscholes Lane from its junction with John Lane to its junction with Squirrel Lane, Thornton.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to emergency vehicles and vehicles being used in connection with the works proposed to be carried out on the said length of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the proposed Order will be
available via Lower Kipping Lane, B6145 Thornton Road, A644 Brighouse
and Denholme, Cragg Lane, Squirrel Lane and vice versa.
The Order comes into operation on 31st March 2016 and remains in force
until 1st April 2016 (although the closure can remain in force for up to
eighteen months if necessary).
